On March 27, Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group (Binh Phuoc), accompanied a delegation led by National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
During the visit, and witnessed by National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, representatives from Hung Nhon Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with De Heus Group. This pivotal agreement formalizes their collaboration to enhance the production and export of Vietnam's meat and poultry products.
This significant event marks a crucial milestone in the partnership between the two corporations and is expected to further strengthen the economic ties between Vietnam and the Netherlands.
De Heus and Hung Nhon Deepen Partnership to Elevate Vietnam's Clean Meat Production
De Heus Group (Netherlands) and Hung Nhon Group (Vietnam) are strengthening their long-standing collaboration with a renewed commitment to enhancing the quality of Vietnam's clean meat and poultry production chains. This enhanced partnership was formally solidified during a signing ceremony in the Netherlands, witnessed by National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
"De Heus and Hung Nhon have a long history of cooperation," stated Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group. "However, signing this agreement in De Heus's home country, under the direct observation of National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, further reaffirms both groups' commitment to the leaders of our two nations regarding our cooperation for the development of Vietnam's agriculture."
The deepened collaboration will see De Heus and Hung Nhon continue to support each other's sustainable growth, specifically by improving the quality of their integrated clean meat and poultry egg production chains. This includes assisting farming households in Binh Phuoc province to boost productivity and output within these linked production chains. In the near future, with De Heus's support, Hung Nhon Group aims to export poultry meat and pork products to the Dutch market and beyond.
Mr. Gabor Fluit, General Director of De Heus Vietnam, emphasized his group's role: "De Heus Group will supply the highest quality animal feed to Hung Nhon Company and other interested farming households. We will support Hung Nhon and the farmers in accessing and applying advanced technologies and techniques in livestock farming; together, we will find solutions to reduce costs and increase profits; and actively coordinate cooperation in a mutually beneficial spirit." He added, "De Heus will actively assist Hung Nhon in expanding markets, supplying clean food chain products once they meet distribution and export standards. Specifically, De Heus Group will support Hung Nhon Group and Binh Phuoc's livestock farmers in exporting poultry and pork products to the Dutch market; and collaborate in organizing consultancy programs, workshops, and specialized conferences to develop and improve the quality of production chain cooperation in Binh Phuoc province."

Challenges, But Also Opportunities
Leaders from De Heus Group and Hung Nhon Group fully acknowledge that significant challenges invariably accompany the opportunities in their collaborative journey to elevate Vietnamese agricultural products.
Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group, articulated his group's commitment: "To reach the level of cooperation with an international-caliber livestock company like De Heus, we at Hung Nhon Group are acutely aware of the efforts and standards we must achieve." This includes Hung Nhon securing crucial certifications and quality standards to meet partner requirements, such as Viet.G.A.P and Global.G.A.P certifications, pre-slaughter traceability for poultry meat products, and full process traceability for eggs. Crucially, Hung Nhon's farms must exclusively use De Heus animal feed.
In return, De Heus commits to ensuring the quality of feed supplied to Hung Nhon, assisting Hung Nhon in adopting advanced livestock technologies and techniques, and collaboratively finding solutions to reduce costs and increase profits. De Heus will actively coordinate cooperation for mutual benefit. Furthermore, De Heus will proactively support Hung Nhon in expanding market access, particularly for clean food chain products that meet distribution and export standards, including the export of poultry meat and pork to the demanding Dutch market.
A National Endeavor for Clean Food
Dr. Le Ba Chi Nhan from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics commented on the significance of this partnership: "Never before, in the context where millions of Vietnamese people urgently need clean food, have we so desperately needed business cooperation agreements with shared development goals of enhancing production and elevating product quality, like the collaboration between De Heus Group (Netherlands) and Hung Nhon Group. This partnership holds even deeper national significance, as it was signed in the presence of high-level representatives from both countries. De Heus Group, with over 100 years of development, reputation, experience, and global influence, will undoubtedly be a solid foundation for Hung Nhon Group's rapid future growth."
Ms. Tran Tue Hien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Binh Phuoc province, expressed strong local expectations: "The leadership and people of Binh Phuoc province have great hopes for this cooperation. It will help Binh Phuoc's livestock farmers enter an era of high-tech agricultural production. Furthermore, we hope it will enable Binh Phuoc to become a clean livestock center for the entire Southeastern region."
The collaboration underscores a mutual recognition that overcoming the complexities of modern agriculture requires stringent quality control, technological adoption, and robust market access strategies, all within a framework of international partnership and government support.
