On April 17, at Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Park (Tay Ninh), Bel Gà Joint Stock Company (Belgium), De Heus Group (Netherlands), and Hung Nhon Group celebrated the inauguration of the Bel Gà Tay Ninh high-tech poultry hatchery.
This project is also a key part of these corporations' integrated supply chain for clean, sustainable agricultural products aimed at export.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Minh Hoan, the new Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, along with the Ambassadors of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Indonesia to Vietnam. Representatives from the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, leaders from various southern provinces, and senior executives from both domestic and international corporations were also present.
New High-Tech Poultry Hatchery Hailed as Game-Changer for Tay Ninh Agriculture
During the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, highly praised Bel Gà's investment in the livestock sector, alongside De Heus Group, Hung Nhon Group, and Koyu Unitek Company. He lauded this as a "new direction for the locality and the entire region" in attracting investment, applying high technology, and strategically developing livestock to create high-value products. Deputy Minister Tien specifically highlighted that investing in a closed-chain production system helps enhance productivity and reduce product costs.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the project serves as clear evidence of the province's efforts to restructure its agricultural sector, which is identified as one of the "four key fronts" for the province's economic development. "The investors have chosen Tay Ninh to implement this project. They are people who truly say what they mean and do what they say, and we believe that the investors' success is also Tay Ninh province's success," Mr. Ngoc underscored.
This marks Bel Gà's second high-tech poultry hatchery in Vietnam, following their first facility in Lâm Đồng province. The Tây Ninh plant represents a total investment of 200 billion VND on a 15-hectare site. In its first phase, the Bel Gà Tây Ninh hatchery will have an annual capacity of 19 million day-old chicks. Phase 2 will see the factory expand its production scale to 38.4 million day-old chicks per year.
Bel Gà Tây Ninh Hatchery to Produce First European-Standard Chicks for Southern Vietnam and Cambodia
Tây Ninh, Vietnam – Mr. Kris Van Daele, General Director of Bel Gà Vietnam and Cambodia, announced that the first batch of European-standard chicks from the new Bel Gà Tây Ninh hatchery is expected to hatch by April 21. "We are committed to providing the market with the best laying and broiler breeding stock," stated Van Daele.
This new facility significantly enhances the quality of day-old chicks and reduces stress on the young birds from long-distance transport. From Tây Ninh, delivery times for breeding chicks to the Mekong Delta region will be reduced to just 4-5 hours, and to Cambodia, it will take only about 1 hour. Furthermore, the short distance from Tây Ninh to Ho Chi Minh City allows for quick air transport of breeding chicks to northern Vietnam, laying the groundwork for Bel Gà's business expansion in the northern region.
