On December 12, during his visit and working trip to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met and worked with the leaders of De Heus Group, a company specializing in animal nutrition and feed production.
The Government delegation, led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, included Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, and Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Hung Nhon Group.
Representing De Heus Group at the meeting with the Vietnamese Government delegation were Mr. Koen De Heus, Global CEO, Mr. Gabor Fluit, Asia Regional General Director, and Mr. Johan van den Ban, General Director for Vietnam.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly praised De Heus Group's contributions in Vietnam. He specifically noted De Heus's 100% acquisition of Masan's animal feed production segment and its various sustainable agricultural development projects, particularly through the DHN high-tech agricultural complex joint ventures with Hung Nhon Group.
Building on these achievements, the Prime Minister urged De Heus to further boost its investments in Vietnam, especially by assisting Vietnam in establishing high-tech agricultural production value chains modeled after Dutch cooperatives.
In response to the Prime Minister's request, Mr. Koen De Heus, Global CEO of De Heus Group, affirmed that De Heus will indeed increase its investments in Vietnam. Beyond the Dutch-style agricultural cooperative model, De Heus will continue to collaborate with Hung Nhon to invest in and develop projects for:
- Livestock and poultry breeding.
- Developing raw material sources (corn, cassava) to supply the animal feed production sector.
Sharing his decision to choose Hung Nhon Group as De Heus's primary partner in Vietnam, Mr. Koen De Heus stated: "Hung Nhon Group is a reputable and professional enterprise in the livestock sector in particular and agriculture in general. Specifically, Hung Nhon's operating model aligns perfectly with De Heus's plan to develop and expand its business operations in Vietnam, with the goal of becoming a companion to livestock farmers and businesses in the sector.1 De Heus looks forward to cooperating with Hung Nhon to jointly achieve these goals."
Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman and CEO of Hung Nhon Group, shared: "De Heus is a world-leading agricultural group with globally renowned animal nutrition and feed brands. Therefore, partnering with De Heus is an honor for Hung Nhon. Through this collaboration, Hung Nhon gains access to advanced Dutch livestock technology. This will enable us to develop Hung Nhon's large-scale agricultural projects in the future."
