Its core missions include completing technological infrastructure for agriculture, as well as fostering international connectivity and market expansion.

Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (VIDA) Launched to Revolutionize Agriculture with 4.0 Technology
Hanoi, Vietnam – On the morning of September 29, the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (VIDA) officially launched and held its first Congress for the 2019-2024 term. This new association aims to be a crucial platform for transforming Vietnamese agriculture through digital integration.
Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation and Chairman of VIDA, shared his optimism for the sector. "Vietnam's agricultural sector is witnessing the most significant positive changes with immense prospects, promising to be one of the breakthrough industries in the future," he stated. Mr. Binh's assessment is based on the positive impacts of the Industry 4.0 revolution and the tireless efforts of a new generation of agricultural entrepreneurs.
A Unified Front for Digital Agriculture
Developing from the High-Tech Agriculture Club (DAA) under the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association (VYEA), VIDA's establishment aims to strengthen collective power, foster solidarity, and consolidate resources to propagate and advance Vietnamese agriculture towards digitalization. Its ultimate goal is "Prosperity by Agriculture."
"The Steering Committee for the establishment of the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association earnestly seeks the concerted efforts of entrepreneurs from all agriculture-related fields, including production, processing, trade, investment, technology, farming, fertilizers, plant/animal protection, and logistics," Mr. Binh appealed.
The Association is set to support large-scale projects aimed at modernizing Vietnam's agriculture. This includes:
- Introducing high-quality agricultural product centers worldwide.
- Developing a global online agricultural product exchange platform.
- Implementing a digital agricultural vocational training system for Vietnam and the region.
- Establishing processing and preservation centers for agricultural products in various regions.
For the past three years, the Steering Committee diligently gathered resources and completed the necessary procedures to establish VIDA, aiming to unite talent and contribute to bringing Vietnamese agriculture closer to that of developed nations.
Inaugural Congress and Leadership Team
The inaugural Congress of the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (2019-2024 term) involved:
- Approving the Charter and operational directions of the Association.
- Electing the Executive Committee and Inspection Committee for the first term (2019-2024).
- Receiving membership applications.
- Signing cooperation agreements with domestic and international partners.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association for the 2019-2024 term includes:
- Mr. Truong Gia Binh – Chairman of FPT Corporation, serving as the Chairman of the Association.
- Vice Chairmen include:
- Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh – General Director of Nam Mien Trung Aquaculture Investment Co., Ltd.
- Mr. Than Van Hung – General Director of Visimex Joint Stock Company.
- Mr. Vo Quan Huy – General Director of Huy Long An – My Binh Co., Ltd.
- Ms. Ninh Thi Ty – Chairwoman of Ho Guom Group Joint Stock Company.
- Mr. Nguyen Duc Tung – Executive Director of the Office of the Private Economic Development Research Board, Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform to the Prime Minister, was elected Secretary General and Standing Committee Member of the Association.

- Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung – Chairman of Nafoods Group Joint Stock Company.
- Mr. Do Van Hue – Chairman and General Director of Dong Trung Ha Thao Joint Stock Company.
This new leadership team is poised to drive VIDA's mission of transforming Vietnam's agricultural landscape through innovation and collaboration.
