On September 28, 2021, De Heus Group's fleet of animal feed trucks arrived at the DHN Đắk Lắk great-grandparent and grandparent pig farm.
The DHN Đắk Lắk High-Tech Agricultural Complex is buzzing with activity as it prepares for a major milestone. The next steps for the Group involve thoroughly checking the automated feeding system and getting the feed truck fleet and silos ready to welcome the highly anticipated great-grandparent and grandparent pigs. These elite breeding animals are expected to arrive from Canada in early October 2021.
Currently, the dedicated team of workers and engineers at the DHN Đắk Lắk high-tech livestock complex in Ea M'Droh commune, Cư M'Gar district, is putting the finishing touches on the project's final components. Their hard work is paving the way for the operation of what will be the largest high-quality great-grandparent and breeding pig production farm in the Central Highlands.
The construction of this significant complex, a joint venture between Hung Nhon Group (Vietnam) and De Heus Group (Netherlands), officially began in late September 2020. Spanning nearly 200 hectares, the project signifies a major investment in advanced agricultural practices for the region.
The project, with a total investment for the 2019-2025 period of approximately $60 million USD (equivalent to 1,500 billion VND), is currently the largest pig farming project in the Central Highlands.
Despite the complex developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, which posed numerous construction challenges, the investor implemented various solutions to accelerate progress. Their goal was to quickly bring the great-grandparent pig farm into operation to meet the market's demand for high-quality, disease-free breeding pigs.
