De Heus and Hung Nhon Groups Pay Courtesy Visit to Kon Tum Provincial Leaders

    This morning, May 13, at the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee Office, leaders from both De Heus and Hung Nhon Groups paid a courtesy visit to the Kon Tum provincial leadership.

    Representing De Heus Group was Mr. Gabor Fluit, Asia Regional General Director. From Hung Nhon Group, attendees included Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman and CEO, and Ms. Le Thi Phuong Nhon, Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.

    Notably, in addition to the leaders from De Heus and Hung Nhon Groups, the delegation paying a courtesy visit to Kon Tum provincial leaders also included Mr. Pham Ngoc Mau, Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and1 Mr. Daniël Stork, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City.

    On behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Duong Van Trang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, expressed sincere gratitude for the presence of the Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City, the representative from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the leaders of both De Heus and Hung Nhon groups in Kon Tum today.

    According to Mr. Duong Van Trang, Kon Tum has collaborated with Dutch organizations on 16 non-governmental foreign aid projects over the past few years, receiving a total of $1.4 million USD in support. These projects have addressed pressing needs, improved the quality of life for disabled children, and supported livelihoods for local residents.

    "We're aware that De Heus and Hung Nhon have invested in a high-tech livestock project in Dak Lak and will break ground on a project in Gia Lai tomorrow, May 14," Mr. Trang shared. "We hope the leaders of both groups will soon survey and develop an investment plan for Kon Tum, ideally by the end of this year. On the provincial side, we commit to fully meeting all conditions to enable the two groups to quickly implement a high-tech livestock project in Kon Tum."

    Speaking at the reception, Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan, Chairman of the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee, recalled the visit by De Heus and Hung Nhon in 2021. During that visit, the parties discussed many important topics, including the signing of an MoU between Kon Tum, De Heus, and Hung Nhon. Under that agreement, the parties would research, survey, and select a location to invest in a high-tech agricultural project in Kon Tum during the 2021-2024 period.

    Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan urged De Heus and Hung Nhon to maximize their resources to complete investment procedures and bring the project into implementation soon. The Chairman of the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee also requested the Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City to support Kon Tum in promoting the province's image, potential, and strengths to Dutch businesses.
