On the afternoon of May 11, in Vĩnh Long city, De Heus Group and Hung Nhon Group held a meeting with leaders of the Vĩnh Long Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies to discuss cooperation in agriculture and livestock farming. The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration, identify opportunities, and boost agricultural development investment in Vĩnh Long province.
At the meeting, Mr. Co De Heus, Co-President and Global CEO of De Heus Group, emphasized that Vĩnh Long was one of the first provinces De Heus invested in Vietnam, starting in 2011. Vĩnh Long also holds the distinction of having the highest number of De Heus factories in Vietnam. He highlighted the significant support De Heus has received throughout its investment and production process from the provincial leadership, various departments, and especially the districts where De Heus factories are located. This continuous collaboration has greatly contributed to the successful operation of De Heus projects to this day.
Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Chairman of the Vĩnh Long Provincial People's Committee, expressed his delight in welcoming the leaders of De Heus Group and Hung Nhon Group to Vĩnh Long for their visit and working session. He noted his pleasure in meeting and discussing opportunities for cooperation and investment in agricultural development within the province.
Beyond aiding farmers and modernizing agriculture, De Heus Group has been actively contributing to the socio-economic development of Vĩnh Long province. Vĩnh Long, situated in the heart of the Mekong Delta, boasts a geographically advantageous location with convenient transportation and significant potential for agricultural development.
Mr. Lữ Quang Ngời expressed his hope that De Heus Group's leadership would continue to invest in strategic projects to develop Vĩnh Long's agriculture and rural areas, particularly those that address climate change. He specifically called for expanded investment in value chain production, enabling local residents and businesses to participate in development. He also encouraged the establishment of research centers for high-tech agricultural advancements and investment in facilities for livestock and poultry procurement, processing, and preservation.
