This initiative is part of Hung Nhon Group's commitment to join the nationwide effort in combating the pandemic, safeguarding the health of its workforce, and ensuring the continuity of its production and business operations.
Hung Nhon Group to Vaccinate Over 1,000 Employees Across Vietnam
Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman and CEO of Hung Nhon Group, informed Dan Viet Newspaper that the Group plans to provide COVID-19 vaccinations for all of its over 1,000 employees. These individuals are currently working across 14 member companies and various chicken and pig farms.
Despite their operations being spread across Ho Chi Minh City, the Southeast region, and the Central Highlands provinces, Hung Nhon Group will implement the vaccination program for its entire workforce in multiple phases.
Hung Nhon Group's Proactive COVID-19 Measures and Community Contributions
Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman and CEO of Hung Nhon Group, detailed the rigorous measures the company implemented to ensure safety and maintain business operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"To ensure pandemic safety and concurrently sustain production and business activities, the Group is strictly adhering to the Ministry of Health's 5K principle. We require all staff to wear masks at work, frequently sanitize hands, and check body temperature," Mr. Hung stated. He added, "Crucially, we encourage employees to live and work on-site."
In response to the complex developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, all Hung Nhon Group staff and employees relocated to the farm complexes, which are equipped with modern sanitation systems. With expansive areas, including a 20-hectare facility, Mr. Hung confirmed that the company had already built comprehensive auxiliary facilities, including worker housing and canteens. This infrastructure allowed all employees to reside, live, and work on-site.
"In the context of the pandemic, Hung Nhon's work environment complies with all disease prevention regulations. Previously, it was an 'open' work environment, but now, we restrict large gatherings even within the company," Mr. Hung explained. He emphasized, "For the health of our staff and workers, we are ready to spend money to buy vaccines and hope to implement vaccinations for our employees soon."
Significant Community Contributions During the Pandemic
Prior to these internal measures, at the inauguration ceremony of the Bel Ga Tay Ninh Poultry Hatchery, Hung Nhon Group, De Heus Group, and Bel Ga Company made substantial contributions totaling VND 1.8 billion to community activities. These contributions included:
- Nearly 4,000 rapid COVID-19 test kits for the Tay Ninh Provincial COVID-19 Prevention Fund, valued at VND 500 million.
- A VND 1 billion ambulance donated to the Tay Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association.
- An additional VND 300 million for the construction of "Great Solidarity Houses" (nhà Đại đoàn kết) for impoverished residents in Trang Bang town.
These actions underscore Hung Nhon Group's commitment to both employee welfare and broader community support during challenging times.
In addition, the businesses also donated VND 300 million to the Fund for the Poor in Trang Bang Town.
Bel Ga Tay Ninh Hatchery and New High-Tech Agricultural Complex Mark Major Investments in Vietnamese Livestock
The Bel Ga Tay Ninh Poultry Hatchery, a high-tech facility with a total investment of VND 200 billion, is now operational. Built on an area of 15,000m2, the hatchery has a designed capacity of over 19 million day-old chicks per year in Phase I, with plans to expand to 38.4 million chicks per year in Phase II. The primary products are high-quality day-old broiler and layer chicks, catering to demand in Vietnam and Cambodia. Currently, European-standard hatched chicks are already available, with companies committed to supplying the best quality broiler and layer breeding stock to the market.
Additionally, in Tay Ninh, De Heus Group, Hung Nhon Group, Bel Ga Company, and their strategic partners have selected prime locations in Tan Hoi commune, Tan Chau district, and Phuoc Binh commune, Trang Bang district, for the continued development of a High-Tech Agricultural Complex. This integrated complex will include:
- Two parent stock chicken farms with a capacity of 25 million eggs per year.
- 250 safe broiler chicken farms with a combined capacity of 25 million broiler chickens per year.
- A complex of factories for producing and processing high-quality agricultural products in a closed chain.
The total estimated investment for these projects is approximately USD 141.5 million (equivalent to VND 3.325 billion).
