As of early May 2026, African Swine Fever (ASF) has been reported in 17 provinces and cities nationwide (According to VAHIS of the Department of Livestock Production and Animal Health). Concurrently, the transitional weather conditions with alternating rain and sun are creating a favorable environment for various pathogens to thrive, while the demand for stocking breeding animals for the new farming season continues to surge.
These challenges not only exert intensive pressure on livestock production operations but also underscore the increasingly urgent demand for a development model geared toward building a modern and sustainable livestock ecosystem. This requires a transition from small-scale farms to contemporary, industrial-scale farming, featuring strategic collaborations and fully integrated control from farm inputs to market outputs.
In fact, from many years ago, Hung Nhon Group early foresaw this inevitable transition within Vietnam's livestock industry. This very vision serves as the foundation for developing the DHN project chain, aiming to build a modern livestock ecosystem and step-by-step establish and expand the scale of "disease-free zones" for Vietnam's livestock sector.
Extending beyond a strategic vision, Hung Nhon Group has partnered with Royal De Heus to gradually realize this commitment through a series of key pig farming projects across the country. A prime example is the DHN Gia Lai project, which is positioned to become a hub for supplying premium-quality, disease-free breeding stock, contributing to the modernization of the livestock sector and fostering the high-tech agricultural value chain in local communities.
Amidst an environment where the livestock industry consistently faces mounting pressures from diseases and market fluctuations, the value of an early and well-invested ecosystem lies not merely in its scale, but in its capacity to drive proactiveness, stability, and long-term development for the entire value chain of Vietnam's livestock industry.

“A good product alone is not enough to enter highly demanding markets. Behind the product must be an integrated production chain with consistent control, from breeding stock, animal feed, farms and biosecurity to processing, traceability and environmental standards.”
