22 Homes in Just One Month: Hung Nhon and De Heus Deliver Hope in Tay Ninh
In December 2024, the National Assembly delegation of Tay Ninh Province and the People’s Committee of Tan Chau District, in collaboration with Hung Nhon Group and De Heus Group (Netherlands), organized a program to provide 2 billion VND in funding to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing. The initiative also included social welfare support and the distribution of 1,000 Tet gift packages to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged households in Tan Chau District for the Lunar New Year of 2025 (Year of the Snake).
The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo Member, Head of the Central Propaganda Department (now also in charge of Mass Mobilization), and National Assembly Delegate for Tay Ninh; Mr. Pham Hung Thai, Standing Deputy Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tay Ninh Province.
Following detailed assessments, 22 households in disadvantaged communes of Tan Chau District were selected to receive support. The houses were built to solid construction standards, providing residents with a safe and long-term place to live.
On March 29, a groundbreaking ceremony was held in Tan Lam Hamlet, Tan Ha Commune, Tan Chau District, for the construction of 22 social housing units, in coordination with Hung Nhon, De Heus, the “For the Poor” Fund Committee of Tan Chau, and the Tay Ninh National Assembly Delegation.
Just one month after construction began, by April 28, all 22 homes were completed and officially handed over in a warm and meaningful ceremony. From the beginning of 2024 to date, the Tay Ninh National Assembly Delegation and the Tan Chau People’s Committee, in cooperation with Hung Nhon and De Heus, have completed and delivered a total of 29 social houses to families in difficult circumstances across the district.
Spreading Positive Values in the Community
Speaking about this meaningful initiative, Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group, emphasized:
"We are not just building houses — we are building hope, trust, and motivation for families in need. Each new home is a fresh start that helps people settle down and build a better future."
Amid Hung Nhon’s ongoing development of a chain of 12 high-tech agricultural projects in Tay Ninh, these community-focused activities — like eliminating makeshift housing — play an essential role in building sustainable relationships with local communities.
“This is a crucial foundation for us to continue investing and contributing to the region’s socio-economic development. Our goal is to replicate this support model across other provinces nationwide,” Mr. Hung added.
Hung Nhon’s journey to eradicate makeshift and substandard housing in 2024 marks not only a key milestone but also stands as a symbol of solidarity, compassion, and corporate social responsibility. The successful handover of 22 new homes by the end of April concluded a deeply meaningful program and opened a promising new chapter for many disadvantaged families in Tay Ninh.
With a steadfast commitment to giving back, Hung Nhon continues to affirm its role as a pioneering enterprise that links economic growth with humanitarian values.
“The road ahead will certainly bring more challenges, but with the united efforts of our team and the support of the community, Hung Nhon is confident that every step we take will bring greater value to society,” Mr. Hung affirmed.
Alongside the housing program, Hung Nhon has also implemented various community initiatives, including building school facilities, awarding scholarships to underprivileged students, supporting policy-beneficiary families, and expanding assistance to other provinces. All of these efforts are aimed at building a more harmonious and sustainable community.
