On September 30, 2021, leaders from the Đắk Lắk Provincial People's Committee and the Cư M'gar District Party Committee visited and held a working session at the DHN Đắk Lắk High-Tech Agricultural Complex project.

Lãnh đạo UBND tỉnh Đắk Lắk, Huyện ủy Cư M’gar tham quan và làm việc tại dự án.

The delegation included Mr. Y Giang Gry, Vice Chairman of the Đắk Lắk Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vien, Secretary of the Cư M’gar District Party Committee; and Mr. Pham Trung Nghia, Vice Chairman of the Cư M’gar District People's Committee.

Representing the investors were Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Nhon Group; Mr. Nguyen Quang Hieu, Deputy General Director of De Heus Vietnam (External Relations Director), who is responsible for project operations; and Mr. Nguyen Van An, De Heus Project Director for the Asia region.

Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Nhon Group, stated that the DHN Đắk Lắk High-Tech Livestock Application Zone project is being invested in and constructed by Hung Nhon Group and De Heus Group (Netherlands) in Ea M'Droh commune, Cư M'Gar district.

This complex, once completed, will be the most modern high-quality livestock production facility in the Central Highlands, operating on a closed-chain system. The farm system will be operated and monitored to meet Industry 4.0 technology standards, with a total investment of $66 million USD, equivalent to 1,500 billion VND.

The complex spans approximately 200 hectares of land, with the pig breeding farm covering about 80 hectares. It will have a capacity for 2,500 breeding pigs, which are carefully selected and directly imported from the Netherlands.

Additionally, the complex will feature a 30-hectare chicken breeding farm, a 15-hectare pork processing and fertilizer production plant, and a 20-hectare administration and service support area. The complex also includes 30 hectares for organic farming and green spaces, along with 25 hectares for internal roads and technical infrastructure.

Upon completion, the project will provide a reliable source of high-quality breeding pigs for the livestock industry in the Central Highlands and Southeast regions. It will also create employment opportunities for nearly 300 local workers, thereby improving their income and livelihoods.

According to Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group, a long-term strategy for both De Heus Group and Hung Nhon Group is to develop a value chain-based livestock industry. This includes establishing a disease-free zone for pig farming in Đắk Lắk and surrounding areas, aiming to effectively control dangerous swine diseases.

Despite the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic over the past year, the dedicated efforts of the investors and construction units have brought Phase 1 of the high-tech complex project to basic completion. It's now ready to receive its first pigs.

On October 5, 2021, 1,250 breeding pigs from Canada, imported by De Heus Group (Netherlands), were officially brought to the project site. Subsequent shipments of pigs will continue as planned until the projected numbers are reached.

During his visit to the DHN Đắk Lắk High-Tech Agricultural Complex project, Mr. Y Giang Gry, Vice Chairman of the Đắk Lắk Provincial People's Committee, praised the project's scale and investment capital. He expressed hope that the project would soon be fully completed and operational, contributing significantly to the province's agricultural development.
