- Support infrastructure: isolation houses, pig export facilities, vehicle sterilization stations, manure separation units, power stations, and housing for technical staff.
- Ancillary buildings: communal living quarters, an administration building, a mechanical workshop, guardhouses, Biogas lakes, treatment ponds, green spaces, internal roads, and technical infrastructure.
The complex will provide high-quality agricultural products and services, focusing on:
- Breeding stock: grand-parent and parent pigs.
- Commercial breeder pigs.
- Organic animal feed production.
- Automatic pig slaughterhouses.
- Organic fertilizer production.
- Trading of livestock products.
Strategic Vision
This project is a crucial part of De Heus and Hung Nhon's long-term strategy to produce high-quality agricultural products through a closed-chain system. This integrated approach, from selecting and producing breeding stock to automated slaughterhouses and organic feed and fertilizer production, aims to ensure sustainable development and high-quality output for the Vietnamese agricultural sector.
Once completed, the project will establish a swift and reliable source of high-quality pig breeds for the Central Highlands and Southeast regions. In their long-term strategy, De Heus and Hung Nhon also aim to build a value chain and a disease-free zone in Đắk Lắk and surrounding areas.
This collaborative project will also create employment opportunities for nearly 300 local ethnic minority individuals, providing training in high-value livestock farming and organic cultivation using modern technology. These efforts will significantly contribute to the overall economic development of the province.
At the 2022 Đắk Lắk Provincial Agricultural Investment Promotion Conference, Mr. Gabor Fluit, General Director of De Heus Asia, delivered a keynote speech. He assessed the potential and advantages of Đắk Lắk in agricultural development, particularly in high-tech agriculture.
During his address, Mr. Fluit also made a commitment to invest in the region with the goal of transforming the Central Highlands into a leading hub for breeding pig supply and developing high-tech livestock models in Vietnam. This statement underscores De Heus's strategic vision for the region's agricultural future.
