In response to the Party and State’s major policy on “gratitude and social responsibility,” ensuring social welfare with the spirit of “leaving no one behind,” Hung Nhon Group and De Heus Group continue to implement programs to donate Great Unity houses to poor households and policy beneficiary families facing difficult circumstances across various localities nationwide.
On March 26, 2026, in Can Tho, as part of a working program led by Mr. Tran Duc Thang – Member of the Politburo, Member of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Minister of Agriculture and Environment – Hung Nhon Group and De Heus Group presented symbolic plaques for the support of Great Unity houses to poor households and policy beneficiary families facing difficult circumstances in the city.
Attending the ceremony, representatives from Can Tho city leadership included Mr. Le Quang Tung – Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Can Tho Party Committee; Mr. Dong Van Thanh – Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Council; and Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen – Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee.
According to the 2026 plan, the two groups will donate 50 Great Unity houses in Can Tho, with a support level of VND 60 million per house, totaling VND 3 billion. This is a key social welfare program aimed at helping poor households and policy families stabilize their housing, enabling them to work with peace of mind and gradually improve their living conditions.
As the central hub of the Mekong Delta region, Can Tho plays an important role in regional socio-economic development. The implementation of this program is expected to create a positive ripple effect, contributing to improving the quality of life for residents, especially those facing housing difficulties.
DHN Foundation – A platform for spreading community initiatives
The Great Unity housing program is implemented through the DHN Foundation, the unit responsible for corporate social responsibility activities of Hung Nhon Group and De Heus Group. With a structured and long-term orientation, the Foundation focuses on key areas such as housing support for low-income households, care for policy beneficiary families, educational support for disadvantaged students, and emergency relief in response to natural disasters.
Through the DHN Foundation, the social welfare activities of the two groups are carried out in a coordinated, transparent, and effective manner, ensuring that resources reach the right beneficiaries at the right time and deliver sustainable value to the community.
The journey of sharing by Hung Nhon and De Heus goes beyond financial contributions; it reflects a long-standing humanitarian commitment built over the years. From solid Great Unity houses to scholarships that support students in continuing their education, the companies consistently strive to accompany communities, especially policy families and underprivileged youth.
The recent housing support program in Can Tho marks an important step toward the goal of building 100 social welfare homes in 2026. To date, 85 houses have already been implemented across various localities, contributing to greater stability and renewed confidence for beneficiaries.
Sharing this vision, Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Nhon Group, emphasized: “We do not view this as a one-way charitable activity, but as an expression of gratitude to the communities that have supported our growth. Each home built represents a foundation for a more sustainable and resilient community.”
In their long-term strategy, Hung Nhon and De Heus affirm that business development must go hand in hand with social responsibility. The DHN Foundation’s programs are designed to create lasting impact, contributing to the development of a humane, stable, and sustainable society.
