Tay Ninh, June 10, 2026 – DHN Tay Ninh 2 officially welcomed its first batch of chickens, marking an important milestone in bringing into operation one of the largest high-tech broiler farming complexes in Southeast Asia.
A New Milestone in the Hung Nhon – De Heus – Bel Gà Value Chain
DHN Tay Ninh 2 is invested by Hung Nhon Group and developed with the strategic partnership of De Heus Group from the Netherlands, with a total investment of nearly VND 275 billion.
The project serves as an important link in the closed-loop agricultural value chain under the “Breeding Stock – Feed – Farming – Processing – Distribution” model. In this value chain, Hung Nhon Group, with nearly 30 years of experience, takes charge of investing, developing, and operating the farm system; De Heus, with over 100 years of experience, provides expertise in animal feed, nutrition, and technical solutions; Bel Gà, with more than 80 years of experience, supplies high-quality breeding stock; Big Dutchman, with nearly 90 years of experience, provides poultry housing equipment and livestock automation solutions; Olmix, a French group with over 100 years of experience, brings biological solutions for agriculture; Boehringer Ingelheim, a German group with a history of more than 140 years, is among the world’s leading companies in vaccines and animal health solutions; and Den Ouden GrowSolutions, a leading company from the Netherlands, contributes expertise in organic fertilizers, soil improvement, and sustainable biological solutions.
The participation of these partners reflects the long-term and systematic approach of Hung Nhon – De Heus – Bel Gà in positioning Tay Ninh as a leading livestock farming hub in Southeast Asia.
Leading Scale in Southeast Asia, Operated Under International Standards
DHN Tay Ninh 2 is part of an ecosystem of 13 high-tech agricultural projects developed by Hung Nhon and De Heus in Tay Ninh, with a total investment of approximately VND 13.1 trillion. With a designed capacity of 5 million broilers per year and a total floor area of more than 74,000 square meters, the project is currently among the leading high-tech broiler farming complexes in Southeast Asia in terms of scale. According to the development plan toward 2036, the entire value chain is expected to reach 200 million chicks, 25 million broilers for export per year, 10,000 GGP pigs, and annual revenue of approximately USD 2 billion.
The entire farm system is developed under a modern closed-house model, applying high technology and synchronized infrastructure to strictly control temperature, humidity, the farming environment, feed, and drinking water. The smart climate-controlled farm model helps enhance biosafety, minimize disease risks, optimize productivity, reduce losses, improve product quality, and ensure traceability.
The official operation of the first batch of chickens at DHN Tay Ninh 2 not only marks a new step forward in the development strategy of Hung Nhon and its international partners, but also contributes to realizing the goal of turning Tay Ninh into a regional center for high-tech livestock farming, food processing, and agricultural exports.
Previously, De Heus Group and Hung Nhon Group also imported 1,250 high-quality GGP and GP pigs from Canada to Vietnam by chartered aircraft, sourced from partner Topigs Norsvin and delivered to the DHN Dak Lak High-tech Agriculture Complex.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group, said: “The operation of DHN Tay Ninh 2 is not only a milestone in project progress, but also demonstrates the organizational capacity, technical management capability, and synchronized coordination among Hung Nhon, De Heus, Bel Gà, and leading European partners across every key link, from technical solutions, breeding stock, nutrition, livestock equipment, vaccines, and animal health solutions. Together, these factors create a fully integrated operational foundation for DHN Tay Ninh 2 from the very first batch of chickens.”
Standardization from Breeding Stock and Feed to Vaccines
The operating process at DHN Tay Ninh 2 is built on the strict control of the three most important input factors in high-tech broiler farming: breeding stock, feed, and vaccines.
Specifically, day-old chicks are received, health-checked, and transferred to the brooding area, which has been fully prepared with appropriate temperature, humidity, lighting, drinking water, and feed. During the farming process, the flock is provided with feed and nutritional solutions designed for each stage of development. At the same time, the vaccination and flock health management program is implemented in combination with biological solutions to strengthen immunity, control disease risks, and maintain flock stability.
“The entire farming process is controlled under a closed-loop model, from chick reception, brooding, grow-out farming, health monitoring, feed and water management, vaccination programs, production data recording, to cleaning and disinfection after each batch. These are core technical requirements in operating leading broiler farms in the region,” shared Mr. Weera Phongphit, Deputy General Director in charge of Production at Hung Nhon Group.
Operational Training and Handover of the Vaccine Cold Storage Facility
In parallel with putting the farm into operation, Hung Nhon – De Heus, in collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim and Olmix, organized a technical and operational training program for the managers and employees directly working at DHN Tay Ninh 2.
The training focused on key technical areas, including biosafety, chick reception and care, brooding procedures, poultry house environment control, vaccination programs, vaccine storage, flock health monitoring, production data recording, and cleaning and disinfection after each batch of chickens.
On the afternoon of the same day, DHN Tay Ninh 2 also received the handover of a vaccine cold storage facility donated by Olmix and Boehringer Ingelheim. This reflects the practical support of strategic partners in enhancing farm operation capacity, helping ensure proper vaccine storage conditions, standardize animal care procedures, and strengthen biosafety throughout the farming process.
