A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between De Heus Group (the Netherlands) and Hung Nhon Group on the “De Heus – Hung Nhon Value Chain Expansion Cooperation Program for 2026–2036.”
The event was attended by Mr. Truong Tan Sang – former Politburo Member and former President of Vietnam; Mr. Le Tien Chau – Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister; Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet – Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Van Han – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee; along with leaders of central ministries, agencies and sectors, and leaders of Tay Ninh Province.
Representing the business community were Mr. Vu Manh Hung – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Nhon Group; Mr. Taka Nobuhama – Chief Operating Officer of De Heus’s Value Chain Business and Director of Asian Food; together with representatives of international organizations, business associations, investment promotion organizations, and domestic and foreign businesses.
The agreement marks a new phase of cooperation, focusing on expanding the livestock value chain, strengthening the application of high technology, enhancing processing capacity, and gradually developing products for export markets.
VND 18.3 Trillion Investment Commitment for 2026–2036
The strategic partnership between De Heus (the Netherlands) and Hung Nhon Group (Vietnam) serves as a prominent model of a comprehensive partnership in sustainable agriculture between Vietnam and the Netherlands. Under the MoU, Hung Nhon, De Heus and Bel Gà will coordinate to expand livestock projects in Tay Ninh, with the aim of developing a modern, integrated production ecosystem that meets domestic and international market standards.
During 2026–2036, the cooperation program aims to expand the scale of the entire value chain to 10,000 great-grandparent pigs, 200 million breeding chickens, 3 million layers, 1 million pullets, and 25 million broiler chickens for export. In Tay Ninh, the parties plan to implement 13 projects with total investment capital of approximately VND 18.3 trillion (equivalent to US$700 million), targeting total annual revenue of US$2 billion.
Each partner contributes its respective strengths: Hung Nhon focuses on investing in and developing a large-scale farm system applying high technology and meeting biosecurity requirements; De Heus, with more than 100 years of experience, contributes its expertise in animal feed and nutrition; while Bel Gà, with more than 80 years of experience, supplies high-quality breeding stock. Also participating are Big Dutchman (Germany), which provides farm technology and equipment; and Olmix (France) and Boehringer Ingelheim (Germany), which contribute veterinary, animal health and biosecurity solutions.
A key project is the DHN Tay Ninh 2 High-Tech Livestock Farming Complex in Tan Hoi Commune, which has been invested in and put into operation. It is among the high-tech broiler farming complexes with leading scale and capacity in Southeast Asia. The integration of breeding stock, nutrition, farms, technology and animal health helps improve production efficiency, strengthen quality control, ensure traceability, and progressively align with international standards.
Enhancing Processing Capacity and Accessing the Halal Market
Mr. Taka Nobuhama – Chief Operating Officer of De Heus’s Value Chain Business and Director of Asian Food – said that throughout the implementation of the cooperation program, the two parties place strong emphasis on green transition, sustainable development and the expansion of export markets.
One of the priority areas is the DHP Food Processing Complex, which is oriented toward meeting international standards such as GlobalGAP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 and Halal. “The complex is expected to strengthen deep-processing capacity, increase the value of livestock products and expand access to export markets, including the Halal market,” Mr. Taka Nobuhama shared.
As part of the implementation roadmap for the 2026–2036 cooperation program, Hung Nhon – De Heus – Bel Gà, together with their partners, are expected to inaugurate and break ground on 10 key projects on April 24, 2027. These projects will add capacity in production, livestock farming, processing and supply, gradually completing a modern and sustainable agricultural ecosystem.
Towards Circular Agriculture and Net Zero
During the 2036–2050 period, Hung Nhon, De Heus and Bel Gà plan to research and develop circular agriculture models, improve resource efficiency, reduce emissions, and treat and reuse by-products in accordance with standards suitable for international markets, working toward the goal of Net Zero by 2050.
At the same time, the businesses aim to expand exports to the European Union (EU), thereby increasing the value of the production chain and gradually enabling Vietnamese livestock products to participate more deeply in international markets, while contributing to strengthening relations between Vietnam and European countries.
Mr. Vu Manh Hung – Chairman of Hung Nhon Group – emphasized: “Projects in the new phase will strengthen linkages among businesses, livestock farmers and partners throughout the value chain, while contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam’s livestock industry.”
The Tay Ninh 2026 Investment Promotion Conference was attended by central and provincial leaders, along with approximately 650 delegates representing central ministries, agencies and sectors, diplomatic missions, international organizations, associations, businesses and domestic and foreign investors. The signing of the MoU between Hung Nhon and De Heus was one of the key highlights of the conference, demonstrating the strategic direction of expanding investment cooperation in high-tech agriculture in Tay Ninh.

“A good product alone is not enough to enter highly demanding markets. Behind the product must be an integrated production chain with consistent control, from breeding stock, animal feed, farms and biosecurity to processing, traceability and environmental standards.”
