July 2026 marked another dynamic month for Hung Nhon, with a series of notable activities focused on expanding cooperation, promoting investment in high-tech agriculture and strengthening its commitment to the community.

In this issue, Hung Nhon News highlights the following key updates:

• Advancing high-tech agriculture: Hung Nhon – De Heus worked alongside Gia Lai Province to strengthen the high-tech livestock value chain, while also proposing plans to expand investment, develop raw material areas and establish an integrated agricultural value chain in Dak Lak.
• Engaging with the business community: Mr. Vu Manh Hung – Chairman of Hung Nhon, representing De Heus – Hung Nhon, attended the Government Standing Committee Conference with the business community, contributing proposals to address bottlenecks, promote growth and enhance competitiveness.
• Strengthening value chain connectivity: The leadership of Hung Nhon attended the inauguration of De Heus’ Vinh Long 4 Marine Fish and Cold-Water Fish Feed Plant, contributing to enhanced aquaculture nutrition capabilities and supporting the sustainable development of Vietnam’s aquaculture industry.
• Promoting the tradition of gratitude: Hung Nhon, in coordination with the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, organized a series of tribute activities to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, including visits to families of national contributors and a Vietnamese Heroic Mother, as well as an incense-offering ceremony in memory of fallen heroes.
• Agricultural news highlights: A roundup of notable developments in Vietnam and the international agricultural sector, covering policies, technology, disease prevention and control, traceability, and emerging trends in smart agriculture.

HIGHLIGHTED ACTIVITIES

• Hung Nhon – De Heus joins Gia Lai in strengthening the high-tech livestock value chain (July 14, 2026):

Mr. Vu Manh Hung – Chairman of Hung Nhon, representing De Heus – Hung Nhon, delivered remarks at the Conference on the Review of Socio-Economic Performance in the First Half of 2026 and Key Tasks for the Second Half of 2026 in Gia Lai Province. The businesses also proposed that the province further improve its planning framework, investment environment and workforce quality, with the aim of becoming an internationally recognized hub for high-tech livestock production and agricultural processing.

• Hung Nhon – De Heus attends the Government Standing Committee Conference with the business community (July 18, 2026):

Mr. Vu Manh Hung – Chairman of Hung Nhon, representing De Heus – Hung Nhon, attended the Government Standing Committee Conference with the business community under the theme “Removing Bottlenecks – Unlocking Resources – Driving Growth,” chaired by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung. This marked the first meeting between the newly formed Government Standing Committee and the business community – a pioneering force in driving economic growth, creating jobs and enhancing national competitiveness.

• Hung Nhon attends the inauguration of De Heus’ fish feed plant in Vinh Long (July 22, 2026):

The leadership of Hung Nhon attended the inauguration of De Heus’ Vinh Long 4 Marine Fish and Cold-Water Fish Feed Plant in Vinh Long Province. As De Heus’ specialized facility for marine fish and cold-water fish feed, the plant is expected to enhance aquaculture nutrition capabilities, support farmers and contribute to the modernization and sustainable development of Vietnam’s aquaculture industry.

• Hung Nhon – De Heus proposes an investment expansion plan in Dak Lak Province (July 31, 2026):

Hung Nhon – De Heus held a working session with the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee, chaired by Mr. Do Huu Huy – Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee, to discuss cooperation orientations, investment expansion and the development of a high-tech agricultural value chain in the province. The proposed plan focuses on three key pillars: expanding the high-tech livestock farming system; developing locally linked raw material areas; and gradually establishing disease-free livestock production zones that meet biosecurity and environmental control requirements.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Series of activities commemorating the 79th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2026) (July 23, 2026)

Hung Nhon, in coordination with the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, organized a series of activities across the province to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2026).

• Hung Nhon supports families of national contributors and disadvantaged students:

Hung Nhon, together with the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, presented gifts to families of national contributors and disadvantaged students in three communes: Binh Hoa, Thanh Hoa and My An. The activity reflected the spirit of gratitude and social responsibility while encouraging students to continue striving in their studies.

• Hung Nhon visits and pays tribute to families of national contributors:

The delegation visited, offered words of encouragement and presented gifts to 11 families of national contributors in Binh Hoa, Thanh Hoa and My An communes. The activity expressed deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of wounded veterans, families of fallen soldiers and other national contributors, while promoting Vietnam’s tradition of remembering and honoring those who have served the nation.

• Hung Nhon pays a respectful visit to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Lam Thi Ranh in Binh Hoa Commune, Tay Ninh Province:

The delegation visited and presented a token of gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Lam Thi Ranh, aged 96, in Binh Hoa Commune. During the visit, Hung Nhon committed to covering the full cost of renovating her house, with the aim of improving her living conditions and providing her with a safer and more comfortable home.

• Hung Nhon pays tribute to the heroic martyrs of Regiment 207:

The delegation visited and offered incense at the Regiment 207 Martyrs Memorial Site in Da Bien Hamlet, Thanh Phuoc Commune, Tay Ninh Province. In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully offered incense, observed a moment of silence and expressed profound gratitude for the heroic sacrifices of the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for the independence and freedom of the nation.

DOMESTIC AGRICULTURAL ECONOMY

• Breeding stock imports surge in the first five months of 2026: In the first five months of 2026, Vietnam imported approximately 2.5 million breeding animals worth more than USD 252.9 million, up 23.8% in volume and 176.9% in value compared with the same period in 2025. In May 2026 alone, imports exceeded 554,300 animals, valued at more than USD 69.6 million.
• Implementation of Government Decree No. 263/2026/ND-CP on the establishment of high-tech agricultural zones: Decree No. 263/2026/ND-CP specifies six conditions for establishing high-tech agricultural zones, including requirements related to planning, technical infrastructure, digital infrastructure, resources, research activities and policies to attract human resources.
• Implementation of new regulations on livestock feed management: From July 1, 2026, imported livestock feed classified as medium-risk goods is no longer subject to state quality inspection during customs clearance. Instead, it is subject to conformity certification, declaration of conformity and post-market inspection. The new regulations help streamline administrative procedures while increasing the responsibility of producers and importers for quality self-control.
• Development of a traceability system for livestock production facilities and products: The Department of Livestock Production and Animal Health is developing a traceability system with five key functions to enhance information transparency, support disease surveillance, facilitate the recall of non-compliant products, protect consumers and meet export requirements for markets such as the EU, the United States and Japan.

INTERNATIONAL AGRICULTURAL ECONOMY

• Strengthening veterinary systems and the prevention of zoonotic diseases: On the occasion of World Zoonoses Day, the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) called on countries to increase investment in veterinary systems, disease surveillance and the implementation of the “One Health” approach at the interface between humans, livestock, wildlife and the environment.
• FAO promotes the adoption of technology in smart agriculture: The Global Conference on Smart Agriculture, held in Rome from July 1–3, focused on data, digital technologies, crop production, precision livestock farming and practical solutions that can be deployed for smallholder farmers.
• United States to test genetically modified flies to combat livestock parasites: Scientists are preparing to conduct outdoor trials of the NovoFly strain in Panama to control the New World screwworm. The technology produces sterile male flies and is expected to rapidly increase the number of insects available for pest-control programs aimed at containing a parasite that threatens the U.S. livestock industry.
• African swine fever resurges sharply in the Philippines: Western Visayas recorded 1,902 pig deaths within two months, while more than 500 pigs were culled in the municipality of San Enrique. Iloilo Province also confirmed its first African swine fever (ASF) case of 2026 in early July.
