Vũ Mạnh Hùng Appointed Head of FAABS Networking Task Force
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – On June 4th, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) announced the appointment of Mr. Vũ Mạnh Hùng, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (VIDA), as the Head of the Networking Task Force for its Food, Agri & Aqua Business Sector Committee (FAABS).
This appointment follows an election held on March 26th by EuroCham members to select new FAABS members. Mr. Hùng received overwhelming confidence, securing 100% of the votes from the participating members.
Mr. Hùng's election to this leadership position within FAABS is a direct result of his tireless contributions and expertise as a prominent figure in the high-tech agriculture sector.
Vũ Mạnh Hùng: Driving High-Tech Agriculture Investment and Expansion in Vietnam
As Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (VIDA), Mr. Vũ Mạnh Hùng has spearheaded numerous investment connection forums with agricultural powerhouses like Tây Ninh and Bình Phước, in collaboration with EuroCham. These efforts have successfully attracted a wave of European investment into Vietnam's agricultural sector.
As a businessman, Mr. Hùng has expertly guided Hung Nhon Group to become a diversified conglomerate with a strong focus on large-scale livestock farming. The group incorporates advanced technology in a closed-loop process, from breeding stock and feed to processing and slaughter, adhering to ISO, GlobalGAP, and other international specialized standards.
Hung Nhon Group is a vital partner of De Heus Vietnam, a EuroCham member. Over the years, the De Heus - Hung Nhon alliance has achieved significant success in livestock farming, food processing, and export. Notable operational projects include the DHN Đắk Lắk High-Tech Agricultural Complex and Phase 1 of the Bel Gà Tây Ninh High-Tech Poultry Hatchery.
Under their high-tech agricultural chain development strategy for 2024 with a vision to 2030, DHN plans to invest in building modern, large-scale livestock farms that meet global standards. DHN will supply these farms with internationally standardized, high-quality breeding stock.
By 2030, the ambitious goal is to reach a capacity of approximately 37,500 breeding pigs and commercial sows across the Central Highlands, Southeast, and South Central Coast regions, along with 83 million breeding and broiler chickens in Tây Ninh. The projected annual revenue from these operations is estimated at $2 billion USD, equivalent to 46,500 billion VND.
New Role at EuroCham and Future Outlook
Sharing his thoughts on his new position at EuroCham, Mr. Hùng expressed his profound pride: "I am incredibly proud to be entrusted by EuroCham members with the position of Head of the Networking Task Force for FAABS. This is a great honor but also an immense responsibility for me. It requires maintaining Hung Nhon's sustainable development while fulfilling practical duties for the community through VIDA and FAABS."
In his new capacity, Mr. Hùng hopes for continued support from EuroCham members and, especially, from the staff and employees of Hung Nhon Group. "With my own efforts, coupled with the support from partners and loved ones, I am confident that I will successfully fulfill my new duties at FAABS," Mr. Hùng affirmed.
