On July 28th, at the Big Dutchman Agriculture Asia office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Hung Nhon Group and Big Dutchman signed a strategic cooperation memorandum.
According to the signed memorandum, Hung Nhon Group Vietnam and Big Dutchman Agriculture (Malaysia) will collaborate on poultry and pig farming projects in Vietnam's Southern provinces. The objective is to develop at least one project per year.
Big Dutchman is a global leader in providing solutions for poultry and pig farming, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, including state-of-the-art housing and farm equipment. Established in 1938 and headquartered in Germany, the Big Dutchman group has expanded its presence across five continents over 85 years, with offices in more than 100 countries and territories. Today, the Big Dutchman brand is synonymous with sustainable and innovative livestock equipment, as well as infrastructure for medium and large-scale commercial farming.
Meanwhile, Hung Nhon Group, a Vietnamese enterprise that started in livestock farming, has leveraged over 20 years of development to become a "multi-industry" conglomerate with strong operations in various sectors across Vietnam. Hung Nhon Group is particularly strong in large-scale livestock farming, applying advanced technology with a closed-loop process that covers everything from breeding stock and feed to processing and slaughtering, all in accordance with ISO, Global GAP, and other international specialized standards.
Hung Nhon Group currently owns 15 member companies and the DHN chain system, encompassing 1,000 hectares of farms across the Southeast and Central Highlands regions.
Within this expansive system:
- Its broiler chicken farms supply the market with over 3 million chickens annually.
- Its layer hen farms provide more than 130 million eggs per year.
- Its breeding pig farms (grandparent, parent, and commercial pigs) meet Vietnamese and international standards, yielding a total annual output of 14,000 breeding pigs and 375,000 commercial pigs.
